My Story
My journey in the candle industry began more than 15 years ago, but my love for candles started much earlier. As a college student, I enjoyed filling my space with fragrance, but like many students, my budget limited me to inexpensive candles that often burned quickly and lacked quality.
After moving to Arizona in my twenties, I discovered a candle company that offered exactly what I had been searching for a quality candle at an affordable price. I loved the products so much that in September 2009, I joined the company as a sales representative. Over the next 11 years, I became one of the company's top sellers, built lasting relationships with customers, and enjoyed helping schools, organizations, and community groups with fundraising efforts.
Then, in March 2020, everything changed. On the eve of the COVID-19 shutdowns, representatives and customers received the unexpected news that the company would be closing its doors immediately. Like many others, I was shocked. The business that had been such a large part of my life for more than a decade was suddenly gone.
Rather than walk away from something I loved, I decided to build something new.
In March 2020, Sunset Scents LLC was born. The name Sunset Scents was chosen because I have always loved sunsets, and here in Arizona, we are blessed with some of the most beautiful sunsets anywhere. Their warmth, beauty, and vibrant colors inspired the name and reflect the feeling I hope our products bring into every home. Sunset Scents is proud to be a100% women owned, Arizona based small business.
My mission is simple: to create candles that fill homes with beautiful fragrances without breaking the budget.
By partnering with many of the same trusted vendors and offering familiar fragrances customers had come to love, I set out to continue the tradition of providing exceptional candles at reasonable prices.
The road wasn't always easy. There were plenty of challenges along the way, but I remained committed to the values that matter most: creating high quality products, maintaining affordable pricing, and treating every customer with honesty and transparency.
Every product we offer undergoes extensive testing before it reaches your home. I stand behind everything we sell because I personally use our products in my own home. If it's not good enough for my family, it's not good enough for yours.
Over the past six years, Sunset Scents has grown thanks to the loyalty and support of our wonderful customers. I am incredibly grateful for the relationships we've built and look forward to continuing to bring you exciting new fragrances, beautiful vessels, and the quality you've come to trust.
